BLUE BALCONY DESIGN STUDIO

We at Blue Balcony Design Studio enjoy working with a variety of materials, and appreciate the creative challenges of designing new products formed from the shapes and emotions of our hearts and minds. Driven by curiosity, and inspired by the juxtaposition of the materials which we use, we seek to create products that will enliven your living space and inspire you.

We handmade our products in small quantities, rather than in large quantities. 

With each product, we envision them three-dimensionally, and incorporate the unique properties of a variety of colors and shapes that interplay harmoniously with each other. 

We want our products to provide beauty and inspire mindfulness within your cherished living space.

  ARTIST DUO     

Jane Kim (right), Handcraft Artist focusing on accessory crafts, and Gemma Hwang (left), PD for an Advertising Agency, met to collaborate on creating beautiful objects that inspire people and offer them peace of mind. In the fall of 2020, they opened Blue Balcony Design Studio. This Seoul-based duo creates graphic design and product design centered on the manufacture of handcrafted goods.

OUR NAME

The most important values we consider are the inspiration and emotional stability that come from the space of the home. A balcony is a spatial element that connects the outside and the inside of the home, facing the world. A balcony can also provide emotional ventilation.

Blue Balcony was born in this wonderful emotional space, with a love for all the colors in the blue spectrum.
